During the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, we were working jointly, as individual consultants, on an exciting and different project that made us realize how much stronger our job is when we combined our efforts, ideas, and expertise. 

That project was to help the council of a municipality in the Canary Islands to start a process of reinvention for the future.  Although they thought they only needed a new and fresh logo, they were open to exploring beyond that when we showed them the potential they could have if decided to go for a deeper transformational process. 

Once we gained their trust via our proximity and empathetic listening attitude, the commitment was there to go the necessary extra mile for each day to reach a little bit farther. 

The results of those intense months are visible today in the attitudes, behaviors, ways of working, and interpersonal dynamics among the people in the leadership positions of that municipality and the inspiring strategic roadmap for 2040. 

A truly avant-garde mentality and actions that started to be possible when they decided to believe in the process of transformation we were facilitating. 

What a journey it was! 

This project wasn’t the first one where we collaborated and worked together, however, it represents the beginning of our idea to create a space, a platform, where we could bring our authentic selves into a truly co-creative environment where diversity of thoughts and professional expertise would complement the human uniqueness of the people involved. 

Today we finally come to present our collective to the world in a series of posts that we will publish in the coming weeks. 

Self was born to help the world become brighter, more hopeful, more humanized and to be better. We are convinced this can only happen through people.
